My Little Nook In The World

Hi everyone,
Noni here and this first little blog post is really just tell you what to expect. The Nook is my business, and it is both online and offline. I make handmade crafts and items. I make everything from blankets and quilts, candles, salt scrubs, bath bombs, wreaths, floating plates, soaps, diaper covers, custom onesies and bottoms, and anything in between. If you can describe it I can likely make it. I will also be adding mugs, tumblers, shirts, totes and bags soon. The NOOK is really GROWING!!!
A little about me. I am 42 year old mom to three really amazing kiddos that have done what kiddos do and grown up. Rick is 25 and lives in Florida and is about to be a first time Daddy (TINY RICK!!!!), Kaila is 23 and is the mommy to my amazingly smart adorable almost 4 year old going on 40 granddaughter Syrena (AKA Bean AKA Doodles), and Eddie is my 22 year old son paving his own way in this world and making it conform to him and not he it. Ed has Aspergers and he has gone farther than anyone ever said he would (proud mama here), I have three fur babies Miss Fro an 11 year old apple faced siamese (Miss Fro is all about the naps and you napping with her), Baby a 10 year old grey tabby (Baby is a foodie), and then there is KIBA (kee-buh) my 6 month old bull in a china shop crazy, adorably, handsome, and HUGE siberian husky.That leaves Daniel my pretty awesome boyfriend and rock whom without the Nook likely would not be a thing (gasp...like for real ) who is really my rock.
I love to craft, and after an injury from work, and a diagnosis of an autoimmune disorder I began a dream. A dream that meant me not living of a disability check, and still being able to support and sustain myself.
I started first with the direct sales company Lilla Rose. I love their products. They are absolutely amazing. So, please check them out @ www.lillarose.biz/nonisnook. I then decided that I would try and sale my crafts at the events I was doing Lilla Rose, and that ended the Nook up in The Hyper Hippie in Clarksville, Tn. The next to come because I LOVE ALLLLL the things coffee and tea was joining Java Momma Coffee. Now Java Momma Coffee is brewetastically sold by Noni's Nook. I will get that web address to you soon as we go live on October the 8th!!! Why? Java Momma you ask; because it is Fair Trade, has organic and kosher options, is delivered in 3 days to your door, and it is so freshly roasted the roaster roasts it when your order is placed!!! We also carry organic whole loose leaf teas, and cocoa. YUMMMMMM.
Being on my health search has led me to two other opportunities that are coming to the Nook soon and I will save them for their own blogs. My goal as everyones is to be able to work from home on my own time, but it extends further than that. I want to make knowledgeable GOOD QUALITY products that help you, or are good for you. I want people to see that just because a product is coming from a direct seller does not mean it is bad, but quiet the opposite,. In many cases they are better than the big chains and the service you receive is so much more personal. The biggest thing is you are helping mommies and daddies stay home with their babies. In a way my generation never dreamed of, and we all know kids really need mommies and daddies at home. You help Noni's like me be able to work and not draw a government check because of our illnesses we cannot keep a job or people will not hire us. You allow us to travel, and see our grandbabies grow instead of missing out, and you get impeccable products and service in return. Without the hassle of having to go to the stores, deal with the traffic, the underpaid employee who just wants a better life and is frustrated. You get to make a difference just as much as we do.
I hope you come to love the Nook and all we stand for, and all we share. Blogs will not just be business on the contrary I plane to share a lot of valuable and useful information, some funny stories, likely grandbaby stories, life hacks, essential oil knowledge, crafts, recipes and more.
